I’ve had a bobcat 773 for about 2 years now, the machine runs great but has given me constant problems with the steering, I will be giving you a list of all the things that have been done to try and fix this problem.
1st. New steering linkage from the steering column to sector shaft on the final drive.
2nd. New steering motor (this was the most common solution that I saw online)
3rd. New hydraulic pump and filter (in case there was air in system)
4th. All hydraulic hoses replaced with new hoses, to eliminate possibility of clogged or collapsing hose.
5th. Went over every electrical connection in this machine and tightened them up, because there were 2 or 3 loose connections (I do not know if these were related to the steering or not but it is good practice to go over all of these at least once a year).
6th. Finally got a new final drive!! The dealer informed me that this was most likely my problem from jump street, but I didn’t want to fork out $4500 on parts and labor for something that may not fix it.
