The Cat 303 cr is a robust MINI EXCAVATORS .Once you have the arm of your Cat 303 cr excavator, it is important to see to it that the arm is well-maintained. It is extremely important that you keep up a maintenance schedule as this is vital in keeping your right arm of your excavator in good working order.
1. Take off the cat 303 cr sheild
1. Remove bolt on the side of the cab that holds the hood handle
2. Remove the hood handle
3. Remove ROPS cover bolts using an 8mm socket wrench (4 total)
4. Lift off ROPS cover and set aside
5. Remove access panel and set aside for future use if needed
6. Remove fuel cap to relieve pressure from fuel tank and set aside
7. Loosen hose clamps from fuel line connections with a flat head screwdriver (2 total)
8. Disconnect fuel lines by pulling them free from the quick connect fittings (2 total)
9. Wipe any spilled gas from machine and allow it to dry before continuing work on machine
10. Remove bolt from bottom left corner of hood with an 8mm socket wrench
11. Remove bolt from bottom right corner of hood with an 8mm socket wrench
12. Lift up front of hood to disconnect it from the hinge point and remove it
2. Unscrew the cat 303 cr big bolt

5. Take off the cat 303 cr cable
Remove the hydraulic hose from the top of the hydraulic cylinder. Remove the bolt, washer and spring that secure the hydraulic cylinder to the machine. Slide the hydraulic cylinder up or down on the boom to gain access to the cable.
Remove the bolt and nut that secure the clevis to the cable. Pull out on both sides of the clevis until you can remove it from around the cable.
Remove any clamps securing the cable to other components on your Cat 303 Mini Excavator. Remove any bolts securing parts of your Cat 303 Mini Excavator’s frame around the cable’s path. Pull out on both sides of those pieces until you can remove them from around the cable.
