The Bobcat® T770 compact track loader is built to dominate. The vertical lift path gives you maximum forward reach at flatbed truck height for a variety of grading, digging, trenching and backfilling jobs. With its powerful engine and streamlined design, the T770 easily maneuvers around tight worksites, through gates and between trailers.

Intake and exhaust were removed cleaned and reinstalled

This is a Bobcat T770 skidsteer that had been sitting for quite sometime. The intake and exhaust were removed cleaned and reinstalled. A new turbo was installed at the same time. This unit does not have a cab so this was done on site.

After the reassembly of the intake and exhaust a full system bleed was performed to remove air from the fuel system. Once this was completed and fuel pressure was verified, we began to start the machine.

The engine started up on the first try and ran rough with a few misfires. After the engine warmed up I did another full system bleed to remove any remaining air in the fuel system. With all of the air removed from the system, it ran much better with less misfires but still missing on a few cylinders.

This machine does have injectors that are servicable so we will be removing them for cleaning and testing. We will also do compression tests to check for worn components inside the cylinders.

All sensors were replaced with new ones as well as thermostat and hoses

I am having trouble getting my car to start after replacing the fuel tank. After pumping out the old gas from the tank, it was replaced with new gas. The check engine light was on and flashed while I was driving. I took it to the shop and they said I had a bad o2 sensor and bad fuel pump. They replaced them but it still didn’t run right. They then said it was a bad thermostat and pressure hoses. Those were changed as well but it still doesn’t run right. The car will crank but then sputter and not start. It also has trouble idling and sputters terribly while running. I have no idea what could be causing this other then possibly a clogged fuel filter, which I don’t know how to change, so could someone please help me out?

The EGR problem in bobcat t770 is common

The EGR problem in bobcat t770 is common. The problem is that the engine block has a crack in the coolant passage that runs above the exhaust ports. This allows exhaust gases to enter the cooling system, which pressurizes it and pushes coolant out of the overflow tank, causing it to run hot. The pressure also causes the radiator cap to blow off, spewing coolant everywhere.

The fix for this problem is to replace the engine. However, we can weld the crack and then use a sealer that will help prevent exhaust gas from entering the cooling system. It’s not a perfect solution, but it will get you by until you can get a replacement engine.
